Visit the Microsoft Windows Media web site.

Click the link that reads Download Now.

After you click the link, a security warning will prompt you to confirm that you would like to download the application. Click the button that reads Run.

This is what you may see as the Windows Media Player installer is downloading. Be patient, this may take several minutes.

When the installer is finished, you will once again receive a security warning asking you if it is okay to install the software. Click the button that reads Run.

As the installer prepares your computer, you may see the following:

You will then be presented witht the Software License Agreement.

Click the button that reads I Accept.

The installer will then begin automatically and will place the necessary files in the proper locations within you computer.

Depending on your computer's speed this may take a few moments.

When the installation is complete, a welcome screen will confirm your installation.

Select your Privacy Options.

The University recommends the following settings.

Depending on your computer usage, you may elect to not have DVD videos playback within Windows Media Player.

The options shown are the only required for video and audio playback at UST.

Congratulations!

You've successfully installed the Windows Media Player.

You may now return to your video link and watch your programming.
